The Fort Lee Police Detective Division consists of four bureaus manned by 23 Detectives and 5 Supervisors. The Detectives are some of the of the most e xperienced investigators in Bergen County. The Narcotics Bureau handles those crimes that are related to drug activity and prostitution. The Juvenile Bureau is responsible for any crimes committed by persons under the age of 18, as well as dealing with child abuse cases and teaching the DARE program within our schools. The General Investigation unit is responsible for the investigation of all other criminal activity that occurs in town. It is their responsibility to follow these cases to a successful prosecution. The Evidence Bureau is accountable for the inventory of all evidence that is gathered during a case and having it available for trial. Our Detective Unit prides itself in solving cases and conducts itself with a relentless effort, to ensure that an accurate account is made of each situation, resulting in a successful prosecution following many of its criminal cases. |
